We first had this delicious treat at a restaurant in New Orleans. It was love at first bite, and it has become a crave-worthy treat in our home ever since! This makes for a lovely appetizer at a dinner party, but we enjoy it as an afternoon snack, all to ourselves.
Ingredients
• Baguette • Chèvre (Goat Cheese), plain • Golden Raisins: Make sure your raisins are fresh and soft. It makes a world of difference. • Toasted Walnuts: Buy your walnuts raw and toast them yourself. Must tastier! • Fig Jam or Compote
Recipe
If Serving As Appetizers: Cut the baguette into rounds and toast them lightly.
For Personal Indulgence: Cut the baguette in half lengthwise and toast lightly. You'll notice there are no specific measurements for the ingredients. This is really about personal taste. Spread as much goat cheese as you like onto each piece. Sprinkle with toasted walnuts and raisins - dot with fig jam. Enjoy!
